Generally, no, something the size of a nail, or our birds hammered into a tree won’t hurt it. The trees natural defences should quickly compartmentalize, protect and heal around the area. Our birds look equally good installed in fence posts, fences, sheds, greenhouses, chicken coops or other wooden structures.

Choose a tree or wooden fence post and hammer the metal bird or animal in the desired location. If the wood is hard, drill a hole first – It’s that simple!
